During the Creative Ventures elective I attended at London Business School in 2010, new means of communication and marketing were explored with great interest in regards to future 'real life' applications. I researched and studied specifically 'QR Codes' and 'Augmented Reality'. These two technologies are fast becoming globally accessible and create further shortcuts within our already hyper-connected world. By incorporating a code, therefore creating a link from the image, I plan to explore and challenge the limitations and misconceptions of photographic portraiture. Technology, narrative, truth, self representation and the internet as an all-knowing platform are a few of the themes within this long term project. Most importantly this project gives me a chance to say what a photograph cannot.
